Martinsville VA -- NASCAR is set to make its second return to Virginia in 2005 for the Advance Auto Parts 500 Nextel Cup Race and Kroger 200 Craftsmen Truck Race at Martinsville Speedway.
The Chase for the Cup is on and Martinsville Speedway is host to race number six of the final ten races to decide the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship. When ever Nextel Cup drivers take to a short track, you can bet that there'll be plenty of contact, more than a few harsh words and a close finish.
Nextel Cup tracks don't get any shorter than the .526-mile Martinsville Speedway and add the fact that just four races will remain on the schedule, any one of the top ten drivers can either make it or break it in their quest for the Cup at Martinsville Speedway.
Martinsville Speedway offers some of the most exciting side by side racing on the Nextel Cup Circuit so plan on a weekend of action packed racing at this years Subway 500.
